Dear friends, with our thankful hearts we want to share with you some good news for our family and for those praying for us. After 7 long weeks in the hospital our dearest daughter Masha was released home last night. Our most gracious God received all our tears and fervent prayers and responded in the most favorable outcome for her. Masha is very excited to be back home for a further recovery and she cannot wait to see all of you very soon!
Harvest Naperville HSM is holding a benefit night for Masha Zhdan to help raise money for the family and medical bills, 5:15pm to 9:30pm TONIGHT! Come and go as you please. There will be deserts, bracelets, and we will raise money for our friend in need!
This is an update from Alex:
“The doctors are slowly taking Maria off the nutrition lines and decreasing her doses of pain medication. Maria was able to walk around the hospital hallway (with the help of her family!) The healing process is very slow, but it is definitely going in the right direction. We thank God for His help and for giving us strength during this difficult time. We are very thankful for all your prayers!”
An update from Alex::
Maria is still in the hospital. Over the weekend she had her second dose or Remicade. We are now praying and patiently waiting for the medication to work in her body. Thank you for all the prayers thoughts!!!!! Please continue to pray.
He is our HEALER!!!!!!!!
Prayer is so essential and the Zhdan family is so thankful for each and every prayer.
But the battle is not over yet. Keep praying for Masha!
Yesterday, she had her 8th fever. Doctors cannot figure out what is causing these fevers. Please pray that the fever is not caused by infection. She has no appetite, nausea, headache and she’s very weak.
Friends do not cease in prayer!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys!!!! Thank you all for your cards and pictures!!! They have brightened up Masha’s room!
Masha is taking baby steps towards improvement! Praise God. The doctors decreased her pain medication and her next dose of Remicade is scheduled for Wednesday. Doctors are doing everything they can to help Masha but it is all in God’s hands. Thanks to those that continue to pray for Masha.

For the next few weeks we are hoping to provide some meals for them in addition to prayer.

God’s mercy and grace has been so evident through everything. We thank you for all the prayers for Masha! Here is an update ….
Effectiveness of medicine is still unknown. Our main doctor decided today to go a second time around with Remicade. They will consult together on Monday and decide the timing and the course of treatment. We are clearly seeing God’s presence and leading hands! She is more comfortable. She even ate food for the first time in many day.
